RESONANCE AND ENTRAINMENT When two systems are oscillating at different frequencies,
there is a force called resonance that causes an energy transfer
from one system to another. Then when these two systems, vibrating
at different frequencies, are near each other, there is another
aspect of this energy transfer called entrainment, which
causes them to line up and vibrate at the same frequency. For example, if a piano and a guitar were both in tune and a G note was played on the piano, the G string on the guitar would also vibrate. If two pendulum clocks were on a wall with their pendulums swinging out of sync with each other, in a few days, their pendulums would start swinging together. The same thing happens with biological systems also.
When fireflies gather around a tree and start lighting up at random,
soon they will be turning their lights off and on in time with each
other. Scientists have even found that disembodied animal hearts,
when kept alive in a lab and placed near each other, will entrain
-- their hearts will start beating with the same rhythm. When two things are vibrating at different frequencies, because of resonance and entrainment, either the lower vibration will come up, the higher vibration will come down, or they will meet in the middle. Because Quantum-Touch® practitioners learn to raise their vibrations to a very high frequency, when they place their hands close to someone in pain, their client's body will resonate and entrain to the practitioner's hands. WHAT IS QUANTUM-TOUCH®?
|
Quantum-Touch is a type of hands-on healing in which the practitioner
uses a very gentle touch and guides healing energy to the client from
her hands. Using the principles of resonance and entrainment,
and the techniques of meditation and specific breathing patterns,
the practitioner is able to raise her energy vibrations to a very
high healing level. As she touches the client, his energy vibrations
are also raised or entrained to meet this level, where the
body knows how to heal itself. Your body's own intelligence will guide
the healing energy to where it is needed most. In most cases, chronic
and acute pain either disappears or lessens significantly in Richard Gordon named this healing therapy Quantum-Touch because of his belief that we are actually dealing with the quantum, subatomic level of life, and that we are affecting matter on that level. The healing starts at this quantum level and works its way up through the atoms, the molecules, the cells, and the tissue. And because we are not aware of and cannot see the complexity of the changes taking place within the cells, etc., what we see is on the surface is that the bones are moving. The
person in need of healing is the healer. The practitioner simply
holds a resonance to allow the body to heal itself.
Quantum
Touch was discovered by Richard Gordon from the works of a gifted
healer, Robert Rasmusson. In 1978, when Richard had a new book
about to be released, "Your Healing Hands-The Polarity Experience",
a friend wanted him to take a workshop from Bob. In this workshop,
Bob worked on a volunteer who had a profound "S" curve
in her spine, and other serious misalignment issues. As Bob gently
touched her skull, spine, and hips, her bones seemed to melt into
place, to Richard's total amazement. Within 10-15 minutes, her
spine was nearly straight, and her hips and shoulders were properly
aligned. Richard was convinced that he was watching a remarkable
healer, and that no one could do what he had done.

he observed him more and began to run energy himself, he discovered
new ways to amplify that energy and increase his healing power.
He found out that while Bob was an incredible healer himself,
he lacked the talent to powerfully teach his skill to others.
Here is where Richard came in; through his observations and his
own practice, he discovered the step by step skills needed to
perform incredible healing himself. And he was gifted with the
ability to teach these skills to others. Thus the creation of
Quantum-Touch, and the first book, "Quantum-Touch--The Power
to Heal", published in 1999, followed by training workshops
for those wanting to practice QT and/or teach it to others. There
is now a QT website, 
the
course of a session of an hour or less; most people say that they
have much more energy and that they sleep better. Others can actually
feel the body re-aligning itself as it seeks to come to equilibrium,
and bones seem to literally fall into place.
